DID YOU KNOWß

The right specialized paddle is important, to ensure that your mixture is flawless and that no material defects or deficiencies occur later. Here you will find valuable professional tips for mixing of particularly tough materials:

MORTAR

This compact, sticky material holds stone on stone and is used, for example, in wall construction or for foundations. It consists hydrated lime or cement, sand and water.
  • The easiest way: pre-baged universal mortar. This powder is simply added to the amount of water specified on the package.
  • Mix the mortar in a large plastic bucket or tub. Mix everything quickly and homogeneously using the MIXBRO and the Collomix® Paddle WK.
  • Attention: ready-mixed mortar sets quickly and is then unusable. Therefore, only mix as much as is needed at the time! If it is too little: a new bucket can be mixed in a flash with the MIXBRO.

PLASTER

seals interior and exterior walls and thus professionally prepares them for the next layer of paint e.g. for paint, wallpaper or insulation.
  • Plaster does not hold equally well on all substrates. In the case of particularly smooth surfaces (e.g. joists steel beams) or highly absorbent plaster substrates (e.g. aerated concrete), it may be necessary to apply a spray coat or a bonding bridge coat may be necessary.
  • The MIXBRO and the Collomix® WK paddle prevent the formation of lumps during mixing. After the first mixing, the plaster should be allowed to mature for a short time and then mixed up again.
  • If plaster is too dry or too wet when applied, cracks can appear in it after a short time. Therefore, always mix only a small amount (15 - 20 l), so that you can process your material without time pressure. Be sure to use the correct amount of water, if you use a bag of plaster only proportionally!
